It's definitely better than K-On, doesn't have intense retarded moe girls. It actually had good nerdy jokes I could laugh at., i.e. when Konata ran the race and was pretending she was playing a video game.

This anime makes my brain hurt sometimes, there was a gunman being piloted by a smaller gunman that was piloted by Gurren Lagann which was being piloted by Lagann who's pilot was Simon. Where did they come up with the ideas for this show?
They get wasted, then throat fuck each other for for about 3 hours or until they lose their voices, and then they try to yodel. They write down whatever sounds come out, and make a show out of it.

I prefer plot driven anime. The only downfall is that sometimes you wind up with characters that dont have any depth and are just their to move the plot along. But shows like Lucky Star and K-On, which mostly revolve around the characters lives, make it difficult to care about the next episode. Series like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Paranoia Agent manage to put interesting characters into interesting situations. So thats what I prefer, but if I had to pick one Id go with story.
