Hello, my lovely imageboard. I need advice. My Boston Terrier (pic) is going to die this week unless we get lucky. Bailey started shivering and losing weight a month ago, and now his kidneys are shit. We think he got the bacteria from bird shit. His liver's probably bad too, and he has lyme disease. Yesterday after we got some meds and magic cat food and he ate them, there was a lot of blood inside his eyeballs. Those are going bad too. He's not really keeping his food down, so wife put him on an IV of electrolytes. We're giving him honey from our bees because that has lots of B vitamins and other stuff he needs. The honey is consecrated or something. He also had a seizure. Do we keep him alive or do we just shoot him and get a cat? He's really handsome and he has desirable markings (he is NOT the pic.)

I make an assumption yet I feel as if I shouldn't: you did take him to a vet right?
put him on a low protein food, combination ground beef, rice(white) and mixed veg (no onions). give him a tablespoon of malox (antacid) twice a day this will reduce the burden on his kidneys and give him cranberry tablets. It might be helpful also to get him on some heavy duty broad spectrum antibiotics. Try to get him to excersize or be as active as possible as this will stimulate his adrenal glands and give him as much water as possible. e mail me if i can be anymore help.

You must be humane and put him down. Iv's ,for christs sake, only add to a dogs misery. You have to respect your animals and not mistreat them.

No vets or anything? Sounds like there's nothing more you can do for him, can either wait till he dies naturally or shoot/ euthanize him. Your choice. I've seen a number of pets die over the years, never easy and not always simple, but probably best to get it over with.
