Best browser time.
Here are your choices choose wisely.
Opera
Seamonkey
Firefox
Chrome
IE
AOL
Safari
Choose which browser is best, also we need facts on why.
I choose AOL because I am an American and I love my country.

I choose Firefox and Chrome. Firefox being my go to browser because it's fast. Chrome is second because it usually does for me what Firefox has trouble with.

What is /tech/'s opinion on the viability of future energy sources (hydrogen etc.)

Feel free to discuss idealistic energy sources that probably won't happen but are still a possibility. Just state thats what you are doing so you won't get trolled (example anti-matter reactor).

A vid on helium 3

part 1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2xChmfLlMo

part 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eem7hDeREsY&feature=related

Im sure the Reaper knows this. The vids are for those that dont. Enjoy

The machines in the vids are tokamaks. Tokamaks are just a huge magnet that was invented by Russians that contain fusion reaction. I still think the Z-machine is a better way.

This is the old Z-machine. It took about a day to charge the capacitors to fire it. In the photos with all the lightning strikes that is wasted energy. Its electrical current that missed the target.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddD1mUifOn4

I the video you can see that everything at within 5 feet of the target was destroyed. That problem was solved about a year ago.

The old machine was about the size of a gym. This is the new z-machine and its about 8 feet wide and way more powerful.

The old capacitors were about the size of a refrige and took all day to charge. The new caps 20 of them that are about the size and shape of a coffie can in this pic take 10 seconds to charge. Each cap can store enough electrical current to kill every human on earth.

These caps are discharged exactly at the same time by the new super fast switches invented by the Russians. About the size of a shoebox. In the old machine some of the switches didnt switch on exactly at the same time.

These life saver shaped machines are stackable. If you need more electrical energy stack on another layer.

Concept of the target. In the pic the fuel targets are on carousel so each time one is destroyed it can be replaced every 10 seconds. The heat from metal that get melted can be used to run steam generators but before it become solid it is poured back in a mold and recycled back to the carousel.

type shutdown -s -m \\compname -t 00

replace compname with his computer's name

hit enter

watch as he WTF's and freaks out while you play counterstrike
>> No. 276 Quote quickreply
bock his mac address is another possibility.
heres what to do
1. Run Cmd
2. type: ipconfig
3. hit enter, get ip address
4. type into browser
5. go into your router and block that mofo.

(this might not be right...so yea)
>> No. 290 Quote quickreply
If you have access to the router's ( a box where teh internets go ) administration page ( usually on 192.168.1.1 ) , use this to find the password : http://www.phenoelit-us.org/dpl/dpl.html .
then go to MAC filtering and add his MAC address to the deny list . to get his mac address use a sniffer or some other tool . then reboot the router .
so it's something like this :
1/ access router
2/ add mac address
3/ reboot router
4/ ??????
5/ Profit .

How can I trigger a fire alarm system without smoke or deodorant of any kind, and not pulling it?

try blowing dust into it. If it is a particle-based detector dust will also obscure the sensor and set it off. Temperature might as well if it has the red liquid inside a glass cylinder. just heat that up or shatter it with something.
>> No. 285 Quote quickreply
hold a bag of just-popped popcorn up to a detector for a few seconds.
>> No. 294 Quote quickreply
OP here - Don't really mean without any kind of smoke or aerosol spray, but more like the stealthiest way to do it.
>> No. 295 Quote quickreply
>>294
find a detector in an unused place with a microwave, pop some popcorn and hold the bag up to the detector for a few seconds. Or just set the microwave for like 15 minutes and the bag will just light on fire. Maybe a piece of paper in there for like 20 minutes would do the trick too.
>> No. 317 Quote quickreply
Saw my mate set off the alarm at uni dorms by "drying" ganja in the communal microwave. Burst into flames. Not real stealthy though.
Man we were so wasted.....hmm scissors...

Windows 7 has been a gift from the gods for the hardcore tech support slaves like me. Convince the end user that their problem is fundamentally related to the fact that they don't have Win7. Blue screen? Win7. Slow FPS? Win7. Printer drivers? Win7. Slowly growing rash up the inside of your thigh? Win7.
Its the opium of the IT masses, and it'll cure what ails ya

That's a fight between a three legged OS and a "GIMP". Neither one is supported by hardware, or software manufacturers. Name your poison. Bad, or worse. Kind of sucks and sucks just a little bit harder.
>> No. 314 Quote quickreply
first of all penguinfags scream about linux being free - Windows is, for people technically minded enough to use linux - effectively free. It is for me. Windows 7 is the best OS around for general use. Better than OSX. Better than Ubuntu. Largest application base, best hardware support.

But Vista was plain embarrassing. Step 1: Install Win7. Step 2: Install Ubuntu.

mothercoders, where is the hax here. what shit are you coding in C, perl, whatever that's cool/clever/wtf

I'm thinking after this hex editor (hell, before it's done, the original author sucked at coding sometimes so there's loads to rewrite/implement) I'll get on a quick set of utils to map a given bitwise operation to a pair of files. But that's boring so wtf are you guys up to?
