you cant, Fire systems work by either detecting light via a small area, if it becomes darker or so due to particules blocking it, it sets it off, anothere is a slightly more radioactive kind, it shoots a beam of somethings across to the other side, like a laser, if this laser' is interrupted the alarm ges offf.

mothercoders, where is the hax here. what shit are you coding in C, perl, whatever that's cool/clever/wtf

I'm thinking after this hex editor (hell, before it's done, the original author sucked at coding sometimes so there's loads to rewrite/implement) I'll get on a quick set of utils to map a given bitwise operation to a pair of files. But that's boring so wtf are you guys up to?

I dont do midi so I cant say.
Linux rules for doing graphics. Using the same programs like GIMP, Inkscape and Blender on Windows vs Linux. Linux wins its way faster.

I just switched back to a mac mini. I'm moving to California and don't want to look like a rube. I started on the apple II E and the atari doing midi for a band I was in. That was yeers ago. I've used all three systems. They all suck for different reasons. Linux sucks a little bit harder.
