Xbox had a superior line-up during it's first generation. Presently, a handful of games are exclusive and those that aren't.. well they are generally exported or are piece of shit.

Anyways. PS3 and Xbox have on-par hardware, minus the PS3 having free blu-ray player and backwards compatibility for DVD and PS2 games.

Anyways. PS3 is superior to Xbox, as developers are able to completely harness it's processor without the expense. 

Why are you comparing xbox to ps2?  The ps2 came out far before the xbox so the hardware was dated.
Compare ps3 exclusives to 360 exclusives, then you see that microsoft is far behind currently

IF you are going to compare consoles...
THEN you must only compare aspects that can be compared, this includes hardware, capability, and prices.
Comparing the games they have does not say anything about the console itself.
As such, comparing consoles of different timezones does little other then say that guns are stronger the slingshots.
In comparison, PS3 beats 360, easily.
Reasons are that 360's prices are higher (over time), PS3 has superior hardware (that if you bother to look up you will learn that it's "core" isnt even running at full capacity, yet easily gets gfx that the 360 does), and then there is the controller, which the ps3 has sixaxis, not to mention backwards compatability (also for controllers), blue-ray player, fully customizable interface, PSP interactability (example: psp can be used as a rear view mirrior in a racing game). There is also the deal of easy access to PS1 games through the PSN, but I can't say the 360 has something similar, since i don't know.
Now that the PS3 vs. 360 arguement is done, move on people.

Now, I would also like to state that my fav system is Gamegear, it had such awesome gfx for its time, AND was a handheld. Did suck with the whole 8 batteries thing though (or was it 6...)

im sorry but exclusive when it comes to exclusives ps3 only has three that are worth a damn little big planet, killzone, and god of war the other exclusives are crap where as microsoft does its own exclusives like halo and gears of war whose story and multiplayer blow ps3s out the water although i will give the ps3 its benefits like free online no battery controllers and 60 gigs on one game disc i still believe the 360 is better

I concur, but I think this thread refers to the original XBox, which I have to say is my personal favorite because of the softmods. I have a 750GB hard drive in mine with movies/games/emulators/etc. 360 just blows, and PS2 can't even run burned discs without modding or buying a special boot disc. All you need to mod XBox is a PC, a hard drive, and a little patience.

they're both great consoles, with there own qualities to offer. Xbox: more complete live experience and better graphics
Ps3: free live and better friend gameplay interface. they're both awesome, it depends what you like
